Objectives:
- Support to the implementation of the ZLSC\'s strategic plan 2008-2011.

Activities:
- Acquisition and dissemination of relevant documents, literature and information on laws and other legal matters from various sources
- Develop, publish and distribute popular publications that inform people about legal and human rights aspects of relevance to their lives.
- Sponsor television and radio awareness and sensitization programs
- Support journalists to conduct focused media investigations on key issues of concern.

Zanzibar Legal Services Centre


Objectives:
To contribute in building a vibrant society which respects democracy, human rights, the rule of law and good governance practices

To enable the people of Zanzibar to access information and be adequately informed about legal and human rights issues an stimulated to participate in dialogue about legal policies and laws affecting them.

To advocate for changes and reforms of legal policies and laws affecting the human rights and welfare of the people of Zanzibar.

Activities:
Develop and provide Information, Education and Communication materials to the Centre

Sponsor innovative TV/Radio programmes

Train journalists on investigative journalism

Conduct research on legal and policy framework and adovcate for necessary changes

Provide legal counselling services to the clients (widows, the poor)

Conduct outreach Legal Aid Camp closer to clients

Train paralegals and install paralegals in all electural constituencies

Publication and dissemination of papers to the Centre and other users

Manage website of the Centre

Develop capacity of Board Members and Staff on current legal and technical issues

Revise Admin Policy, Financial Policy Manuals
