Up-scaling Access to Integrated Modern Energy Services for Poverty Reduction
Objectives:
Overall Objective:
To contribute to improved livelihood, poverty reduction and sustainable rural development through improved access to modern energy in rural communities of Tanzania.
Specific Objective
To ensure access to clean modern energy services in rural areas, with the aim to improve living conditions, boost economic activities and provide better social services.
Activities:
-Install and manage 200 MPESCs.
-Ensure linkage of 500 rural micro-enterprises with MPESCs.
-Promote the production and use of biofuels from Jatropha carcus.
-Strengthen the institutional capacity of TaTEDO and her associates.
