Support Contribution by Delegation of the European Commission in Tanzania


Integrated development of agro-enterprise and reduced impact of HIV/AIDS for sustained livelihoods, Tanzania


Objectives:
Rural families in semi-arid areas of Lake and Nothern Znas of Tanzania have more secure livelihoods by increasing income and access to food through agriculture and reducing the impact of HIV/AIDS.

Specific objetives:
By 2008, a strategic alliance of private and public institutions, businessess, NGOs, churches and communities have the capacity to implement and sustain this action for the benefit of eight rural poor village communities.
240 Members of producer market groups and 1600 individual rural households in these villages have the capacity to sustain food and cash production.
6000 rural families in these villages have the capacity to sustain improvements in their health and immunity to diseases and infections through prevention and mitigation of HIV/AIDS.
