Development of bee keeping scheme for integrated poverty reduction and sustainable environmental conservation


Objectives:
- to train 100 beneficiaries on environmental education and techniques of beekeeping
- to increase income and employment of the beneficiaries
- to promote biodiversity conservation
- to increase community awareness of various bee products uses
- to plant melliferous plants

Activities:
- workshop on environmental education, modern beekeeping skills and techniques, financial management aspects and apitherapy to foster project sustainability and sense of ownership.
- to enact and enforce environmental protection by laws
- to establish melliferous tree nursery
- to provide various beekeeping gears and equipment
- to market honey and other bee products
