CCBRT STRATEGY 2008-2012
Objectives:
The three core objectives of the partnership as set out in CCBRT’s Strategy are to:
•Contribute to the prevention of
impairments and HIV/AIDS infections
•Empower people with disabilities,
HIV/AIDS and HIV/AIDS orphans to
participate as equal members in society
•Mainstream disability into development
issues to work towards an inclusive
environment for people with
disabilities, HIV/AIDS and HIV/AIDS
orphans
Activities:
•Community education and awareness
raising about disability.
•Mobile outreach services which
includes screening, basic medical care
and referrals for the disabled people,
from remote and poor communities, to
the CCBRT Disability hospital in
Dar es Salaam for surgery or intensive
medical attention and rehabilitative
care.
•Human resource development activities
which include an intensive training
programme for its staff to improve the
quality of the services.
•HIV/AIDS services such as VCT, care
treatment and support.
