A Pilot Project to Develop a Sustainable Model of HIV Prevention and Care for the Tanzanian Police Force


Objectives:
To develop a model for HIV prevention and care for the Tanzanian Police Force to reduce the transmission of HIV in TZ, and to improve the HIV prevention and care policy, and practices of the workforce of the Police and their clients in the community

Activities:
- baseline research and analysis
- information, education and communication campaign for the Tanzanian Police Force (TPF)
- training of police on HIV
- prevention, care and support network of services
- develop pilot HIV work place policy for TPF
- facilitate TPF to become an HIV prevention advocate and good example for national services
